Hotel reconstruction in Slovenia

The renovation of the existing 3* hotel was challenging and interesting at the same time. The main value of the hotel is its location – a unique combination of 2 rivers of different colors – Soča and Idrijca. This area is quite famous in Slovenia and attracts tourists from all over Europe.
The hotel itself is already quite old and needs to be updated for a long time. Many completions at different times complicated the planning connections, as well as the general image of the structure. Therefore, it was important to give it a new life (breath).

We had to complete 2 tasks:

1) Make a modern layout with an increase in the number of rooms and the addition of a quality Michelin restaurant that can operate independently of the hotel.
2) Make a new image of the building with the maximum use of local style features.

As a result of the reconstruction, the area of the building increased by 1200 m2. The following buildings were completed: a building with a SPA center and rooms, a building with conference rooms and rooms, an existing restaurant was expanded, developed by a landscaped area. The total number of hotel rooms has increased from 25 to 50.

Apartments and restaurant “Rožna Dolina”

The complex “Rozna Dolina” is located on the border of Slovenia and Italy, in a very picturesque town. The project for the reconstruction of a one-story restaurant building with an addition to the hotel was created 10 years ago by a local architect and was waiting for its time. In the new realities, the city already has a sufficient number of hotels, which are filled by 50%. And new modern housing is almost never built. Based on the existing drawings, we repurposed the hotel into apartments, changed the layout and made the facades more modern.
As a result, 12 apartments with an area of 46 to 63 m2 and a large restaurant with an area of 330 m2 were created.

The two-storey cabin with a mezzanine second floor is located on a sloping site with a pronounced change in elevation. A spacious, partially enclosed terrace provides additional protection from the weather and ensures visual privacy. Adjacent to the cabin, a private barbecue area is provided, featuring a fire pit grill with a fixed grate.

We started working remotely, got used to solitude, we mostly communicate on social networks.
Against the background of new realities, a contactless type of recreation is becoming increasingly popular – one in which there are no intermediaries between man and nature, where you do not see or hear your neighbors, where there is only you and your feelings.

The recreation center “Trokhy Dali” is the embodiment of the idea of a contactless type of recreation. A completely natural landscape, without human intervention, a gazebo on a lake with an incredible landscape, comfortably equipped recreation areas, both for a secluded vacation and for a small company of friends.

The cottages are designed in three typies: single-storey and two-storey units with a mezzanine second level. Each house features a spacious terrace, partially enclosed to provide additional protection from weather conditions and visual privacy.
In houses located on sloped terrain with a significant change in elevation, the terraces incorporate lounge areas with net flooring. This design solution highlights the natural topography and adds a distinctive character to the space.

Наша нова база відпочинку з безконтактним сервісом, знаходиться на пагорбі в самому серці лісу. Максимально інтегровані в середовище будиночки, розраховані на 2-4 особи. Віддаленість один від одного забезпечує максимальне усамітнення та єднання з природою.
На території бази передбачено зони загального користування та дозвілля: кінотеатр під відкритим небом, кострова зона, альтанка на озері та будинок оренди спортінвентарю.

“House 2.1” is an excellent example of architecture, which, in addition to aesthetics and functionality, also has an idea. An idea that finds its reflection even in the smallest details.
The center of the one-story house is the opening of the roof, where a tree grows, which greets guests at the entrance. Around which the life and everyday life of the residents develops.

“House 3.2” is a functional one-story house with the orientation of the main rooms in the courtyard. This concept compensates for the small size of the plot and creates privacy between neighbors. In this residence, the spacious area of the kitchen-dining room and living room, in addition to the standard strip of panoramic glazing, is illuminated by a second light due to the lantern in the roof. The house with an area of 255 m2 has an H-shaped shape, with a swimming pool and a grill area in the backyard. The main color scheme is a combination of white paint and dark brick.
